Possible New Book

When magicians enjoyed Only Ideas, I wrote a sequel but never published it because other things took priority. Now, I actually much prefer this more engaging and interactive newsletter format.

Here are the first fifty pages of Only Methods. As you read this post, you’ll start to realise just how few words were in the original book. If it feels a bit chopped up, imagine it stripped across multiple pages with an unnecessary amount of type sizes and layouts.

I don’t have the answers,

but let’s pretend I do.

Only Ideas

My previous book “Only Ideas” did surprisingly well. What began as a fun end of year project spiralled into something great. Seeing readers post photos with their copies around the world blew my little brain. I shipped a ton of books, received lovely feedback, conventions invited me to lecture, and I even landed a job at Netflix.

I decided to write a sequel; I enjoyed the attention.

Ideas Are Worthless

The basic gist of the Only Ideas is that Ideas are worthless. Sitting on ideas does nothing, and they only become valuable when acted upon. Thank you to everyone who emailed pictures and videos of them running with ideas from my previous book. It filled me with joy and made me regret not releasing them all individually with SansMinds Magic.

Magic is a strange world full of stranger humans. We all have something that others do not. I hope that we all make an effort to share our ideas with others. In a world of secrets, be kind.

Methods Are Meaningless.

This book is all about methods.

Let’s cut to the chase.

Repeat after me:

Methods are meaningless.
