I’m not sure if it counts as “credting” but Weber has acknowledged Pettys contribution to the aged cards/receipts in his latest release. Hopefully marks the end of this sorry (but guiltily entertaining) saga

It's things like this that made me step away from the magic community and the drama - can completely understand where Petty is coming from with the depression.

Thanks for the write up, good to get a summary of what happened without actually having to visit the cafe ;)

I read through all 51 pages! I really like Rick and always wondered why he stopped producing tricks through penguin. I have purchased almost all of his tricks. I finally have my answer.

I’m curious if Rory or anyone else had an encounter with in this case any of the “new guys” whether negative or positive?

Thanks for the post.

My only online interaction with Michael Weber was when he mistakenly emailed about a trick I had supposedly stolen from him, demanding it be pulled (cc'd Tim Trono, and Acar) except I had never heard of the trick and was obviously not the right person. Not sure how he got my name.

Great Write Up! Thank you! Amazing amount of turmoil for such a small community! Can't we just get along! :). I think what Rick said is true. There are a number of tricks that are really just small modifications of existing tricks. Actually most things are really old methods doing something new. How you see that modification matters. Does it create something new and add to magic, or does it just check the box and add nothing substantial. It really is disheartening to see people that are pushing magic forward and creating something new be bullied! We can use all the creativity and input we can get! This is a beautiful art form that needs creativity and new blood to survive and grow! We also really don't want to thin out the art by simply accepting mediocracy. Let's hope we find a way to strike the right balance!
